How to Select Bi-metal Screws?

Bi-metal screws are made from two materials: the main part is stainless steel 304 or 316, the drilling part or tapping part is made of alloy steel. This kind of Bi-metal screw not only has the super anti-corrosion performance of stainless steel, but also makes up for hardness of stainless steel. They are very popular these years. But how to select Bi-metal screw?

1. Demand on anti-corrosion property.

Normally, we have two surface treatments: zinc plated and Ruspert 1000 hours. If the installation environment is very wet and damp like near the sea, we recommend the screws with ruspert surface treatment. If your requirements about anticorrosion is not very high, the zinc plated surface is ok.

2. Drilling Capacity

The drilling and tapping point are made from alloy steel, they are very hard.
